Ballroom

OUDC is the university's largest sports club, and home to one of the country's most successful university dancesport teams. Our classes are open to everyone, including non-university members, and cater for all levels of experience. You don't need to be a member, you don't need any special shoes, you don't even need a partner - just come along and have a go!

Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, the club has over 1000 members and provides professionally taught classes in all of the above styles. We also organise balls and the annual intercollegiate "Cuppers" competition. So whether you want to learn to dance socially, competatively, or gain IDTA qualifications (Medals), there's something for you!

The types of dancing we do includes;

  • Ballroom
  • Latin-American
  • Salsa
  • Argentine Tango
  • Hip-hop
